# Slack

Receive alert notifications in the Slack channels of your choice

Alerts are only useful if someone sees them in time. Connect Slack, and Adalysis posts your notifications to a channel of your choice. They land in the same place your team already talks, so nobody has to watch an inbox.

Slack works alongside email. You decide which notifications go to Slack, which go to email, which go to both, and which go nowhere.

**What you can send to Slack**

* Performance monitor alerts
* Performance goal alerts
* Critical alerts (issues stopping your ads from running)
* Routine tasks reminder
* Budget spend alerts
* Budget pacing alerts
* Budget rollover

**Why this is useful**

* Critical alerts and budget pacing issues reach the whole team at once, so problems get fixed faster.
* The team shares one view of what needs attention, instead of each person forwarding emails.
* Personal inboxes stay quiet: send team-wide alerts to Slack and keep email for the things only you need.

***

**Before you connect**

* The **Owner and Admins** can connect and remove Slack channels and choose which channel each login uses. Admins can't remove a channel that also serves logins they don't manage.
* You can connect **as many Slack channels as you need**, in one or more workspaces. Each login posts to one channel, so you can, for example, give each client their own channel.
* You'll need permission to add apps to your Slack workspace.

**Setting it up**

1. Open your **Adalysis account** (the tile at the top of the rail on the left) and go to **Notifications**.
2. On the **Slack** card, click **Connect a Slack channel**.
3. Slack opens and asks you to approve Adalysis. Choose the workspace and the channel you want notifications posted to, then click **Allow**.
4. Back in Adalysis, the channel is listed on the **Slack** card. Repeat for any other channels you want.
5. Under **Ad platform logins**, choose a channel for each login, or **No Slack**, and click **Save**.

Open each login in the app, go to **Settings** > **Notifications** and tick the **Slack** column for each notification you want sent there, then save.

Scheduled notifications arrive at the delivery time and time zone set in the login's **Settings** > **Notifications**. Budget alerts are sent as soon as they happen.

**Changing or removing a channel**

To send a login to a different channel, choose the new channel for that login under **Ad platform logins**.

If a channel is deleted or archived, or the Adalysis app is removed from your workspace, the channel shows **Disconnected by Slack: connect it again**. Connect it again from **Notifications** in your Adalysis account to start receiving messages again.

For everything else, such as delivery time, email address and which accounts you get notified about, see [Notifications](https://docs.adalysis.com/onboarding/getting-started/core-account-settings/notifications).
