# Better search term alerts: all signal, no noise

{% embed url="<https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hSmvEfC1za0>" %}

Adalysis offers over 100 prebuilt audit checks. Customizing your account settings makes them more relevant and reduces unnecessary notifications.

Let's start with three examples. You can update the default settings under **Audit** > **Audit settings** > **Prebuilt** > **Search terms.**

<details>

<summary><strong>New keywords from search terms</strong></summary>

<figure><img src="/files/24OlHR165jxBgIt94bfy" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

When to update the alert:

* You use a different number of conversions when deciding to turn a search term into a keyword. Adapting the criteria to your account's data volume ensures more accurate alerts.
* You want to add your CPA or ROAS target as an additional criterion so new keywords are always profitable.

</details>

<details>

<summary><strong>Negative keywords from search terms</strong></summary>

<figure><img src="/files/WVpC1VoOZQ7hbQTDYfU6" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

When to update the alert:

* You want to choose a different number of clicks, based on your account's data volume.
* You want to monitor cost, either as an additional criterion or instead of clicks. Alerts only show you the negatives you'll actually want to add.

</details>

<details>

<summary><strong>Duplicate search terms</strong></summary>

Adalysis will alert you if search terms have been shown from two or more ad groups. This is an opportunity to improve your ad serving control.

When to update the alert:

* You want to choose a different number of impressions, based on your account's data volume.

### Updating multiple accounts at once

When you click **Save**, you'll have the option of updating more than one of your accounts at a time.

You can also save customized settings to **Audit alerts** > **Audit settings** > **Global.** This means they'll be automatically applied to any new accounts you link to Adalysis in the future. Check this box when updating an alert:

Spending five minutes per day reviewing a new section of your audit settings will help to ensure Adalysis matches your team's audit checklist exactly.
