# MCP Server

Connect Adalysis to Claude, ChatGPT, or any AI assistant that supports custom connectors

### What it is

The Adalysis MCP connector links your Adalysis account to your AI assistant. Once it's connected, you can ask questions about your Google Ads accounts in plain language, and the answers are built from your real Adalysis data: the same audits, budgets, search terms, and ad tests you see in the platform.

Currently, it's **read-only.** All of its tools read data and nothing more. The connector cannot change, pause, or create anything in your Google Ads accounts, and it cannot change your Adalysis settings. Nothing it does is applied to a live account.

It also respects the permissions you already have. When you connect it, the connector sees exactly the accounts you could already see when signed in to Adalysis. Not one account more.

***

### What you need

* An Adalysis account with at least one Google Ads account linked
* An AI assistant that supports custom connectors. We've verified the connector with **claude.ai** and **ChatGPT**, and it works with any MCP-capable client.

The only thing you'll paste anywhere is this address:

```
https://mcp.adalysis.com/mcp
```

There's no API key to generate, copy, or store.

### Setting it up

Setup is the same idea in every assistant: add a custom connector, paste the address above, then sign in to Adalysis and approve it. It takes about two minutes.

#### In claude.ai

1. Open **Settings**, then **Connectors**.
2. Choose **Add custom connector**.
3. Paste `https://mcp.adalysis.com/mcp` into the URL field.
4. Leave **Client ID** and **Client Secret** blank. They're optional, and the Adalysis connector doesn't need them.
5. Click **Add**. Claude opens Adalysis in a new browser window.
6. Sign in to Adalysis as you normally would. If you're already signed in, you'll go straight through.
7. Click **Allow** on the consent screen.

That's it. You'll land back in Claude with the connector listed and ready to use.

#### In ChatGPT

1. Open **Settings**, then **Connectors**.
2. Choose to add a custom connector.
3. Paste `https://mcp.adalysis.com/mcp` into the URL field.
4. Leave any Client ID or Client Secret fields blank.
5. Confirm. ChatGPT opens Adalysis in a new browser window.
6. Sign in to Adalysis, then click **Allow** on the consent screen.

#### Other assistants

Any client that supports remote MCP connectors will work. Add a custom or remote connector, paste `https://mcp.adalysis.com/mcp`, and sign in when prompted. Menu names differ, the flow doesn't.

### What you can ask

Below is everything the connector can answer, grouped the way you'd think about it. These are examples, not fixed commands. Ask in your own words.

#### Your accounts

* How has this account done over the last 30 days compared with the 30 before it?
* How is this account set up? Campaign types, bid strategies and targets, budgets, networks.
* Show me every account side by side: cost, conversions, and conversion rates for last month.
* What changed in this account recently, and who changed it?

#### Performance

* Break last month down by campaign. Then by ad group. Then by keyword.
* Show me daily conversions for the past six weeks.
* How does performance differ by device, location, or time of day, and what bid modifier is on each row right now?

#### Keywords and search terms

* Which keywords spent the most last month without converting?
* What's my quality score, and is it expected CTR, ad relevance, or landing page experience dragging it down?
* Where do I have duplicate or near-duplicate keywords competing with each other?
* What search terms triggered my ads last week, and which campaigns and ad groups did they land in?
* What recurring words and phrases show up across my search terms, and how does each one perform?
* Which negative keyword housekeeping suggestions are outstanding?

#### Ads and creative

* List the ads in this campaign with their text, performance, ad strength, and approval status.
* Which RSA headlines and descriptions perform best across the whole account?
* Which copy patterns work in this account, and is the difference statistically meaningful?
* Do any of my ad tests have a winner yet, and at what confidence?

#### Budgets

* Which budgets are pacing to overspend this month?
* Where am I losing impression share to budget?
* Which capped budgets are performing well enough to deserve more money?
* Run a what-if: if I wanted to shift spend toward my best-performing budgets, what would the new daily amounts look like?

The what-if is a projection only. Nothing is applied to your account, in Adalysis or in Google Ads.

#### Bidding

* What bid adjustments would Adalysis suggest here, and how do they compare with the modifiers I have in place?
* Which campaigns have a bid strategy flagged for review?

#### Audits and alerts

* What's this account's audit score, how has it moved over the last month, and what are the current findings?
* Show me the entities behind that alert and the figures that triggered it.
* How much is outstanding across every account I manage?

#### Landing pages

* Which landing pages get the most spend, and how do they convert?
* Are any destination URLs broken? Check final, mobile, keyword, and extension URLs.

### Example prompts

Paste any of these straight into your assistant.

> Which of my Google Ads accounts had the biggest drop in conversions last month compared with the month before? Show the top five by percentage change.

> Give me the audit score for \[account name], how it's moved over the past month, and the three findings I should deal with first.

> Find search terms from the last 30 days that spent over $100 with no conversions. Group them by campaign and tell me which ones look like negative keyword candidates.

> Which budgets are capped but performing well? For each one, tell me how much impression share I'm losing to budget.

> Look at my responsive search ad headlines across the account. Which ones consistently outperform, and which ones should I retire?

> Do I have any ad tests with a statistically significant winner right now? List the ad group, the winning ad, and the confidence level.

> Check \[account name] for broken destination URLs and duplicate keywords, then write me a short summary I can send to a client.

> Compare all my accounts on cost, conversions, and cost per conversion for last quarter, and tell me which two need attention first.

***

### What it cannot do

* **It cannot make changes.** Every one of the 27 tools reads. The connector cannot pause a campaign, adjust a bid, add a negative keyword, or edit an Adalysis setting. If you want to act on what you find, do it in Adalysis or Google Ads as usual.
* **Google Ads only.** Microsoft Advertising accounts aren't available through the connector, even if they're linked in your Adalysis account.
* **It reads Adalysis data.** If a Google Ads account isn't linked to Adalysis, the connector can't see it. Link it in Adalysis first, and give it time to pull data in.
* **It sees what you see.** Permissions carry over exactly. The connector never widens your access.

***

### Privacy and access

When you connect, your assistant is authorized to read Adalysis data for the accounts you already have access to. Data is sent to your AI assistant only in response to your questions, and how that provider handles it is governed by their terms, not ours. Adalysis doesn't share your data with any other party through the connector.

Full details are in our [Privacy Policy](https://adalysis.com/privacy-policy/) and [Terms of Service](https://adalysis.com/terms-of-service/).

***

### Turning it off

You can cut off access at any time, from Adalysis:

1. Sign in to Adalysis.
2. Go to **Settings → Integrations**.
3. Find the key named after your connector and delete it.

Access stops immediately. Your assistant will no longer be able to read anything from Adalysis.

***

### Troubleshooting

**I connected it, but nothing happens when I ask a question.** Check that the connector is switched on for the conversation you're in. Most assistants list connectors separately from your account settings, and some default to off. Then ask a direct question that clearly needs your data, such as *"List the Google Ads accounts I can access in Adalysis."* If that returns your accounts, you're connected.

**My assistant says it can't see one of my accounts.** Three things to check, in order:

1. Is it a Microsoft Advertising account? Those aren't available through the connector.
2. Is the account linked in Adalysis? The connector only reads what's in Adalysis.
3. Can you see the account yourself when signed in to Adalysis? The connector inherits your permissions exactly. If a colleague can see it and you can't, that's a permissions question for whoever administers your Adalysis account.

**It worked before and now it doesn't.** The most likely cause is that the connector's key was deleted under **Settings → Integrations**, by you or by someone else on your team. That revokes access immediately. Reconnect by running through the setup steps again.

**The sign-in window opened and then closed without connecting.** Check that your browser isn't blocking pop-ups for adalysis.com, then try again. If you're signed in to more than one Adalysis account in the same browser, sign out of all of them first and sign in to the one you want to connect.
