Manual testing for single ad groups means you can run tests with different configurations to the automated daily tests.

1. Specify a [date range](https://docs.adalysis.com/tools/ad-testing/faqs/date-range-used-for-ad-testing) other than 'common date range' used by the automated tests.
2. See all test results irrespective of [confidence ](https://docs.adalysis.com/tools/ad-testing/faqs/ad-testing-confidence)level. (The automated tests won't show results where all metrics have less than 90% confidence.)
3. Override the current [threshold ](https://docs.adalysis.com/tools/ad-testing/faqs/ad-testing-thresholds)values for your test run. This won't change your global threshold values. Automated tests always use the default account thresholds.

{% hint style="info" %}
Running a manual test with the default values generates the exact same result as the automated test.
