# Keyword bids below the recommended minimum

Keywords with bids below the minimum required for first-page, top-of-page, or top-position visibility will get fewer impressions. Adalysis alerts you when keyword bids fall below the recommended level.

You'll see the alert on your **Audit alerts** screen. Click it for a list of affected keywords and suggested bids. Then, select the keywords you want to update and click **Apply bid change**.

### **Recalculating the suggested bids**  <a href="#adjusting-suggested-bids" id="adjusting-suggested-bids"></a>

By default, suggested keyword bid changes will be calculated to match the current first-page bid (or top of the page, or first position bid).

1. You can increase/decrease the bids in bulk to be x% higher or lower than the first-page bid.
2. You can also set a maximum limit for your new bids.
3. By switching the toggle, you can exclude keywords that are already above the threshold.

After you've finished updating the settings, click **Recalculate bids** to refresh the bid suggestion list. Once you're happy with the bids, click **Apply bid change**.

{% hint style="info" %}
Adalysis calculates bid suggestions for all keywords, regardless of whether they are below the first-page bid (or top of the page, or first position bid) or above it.
{% endhint %}

### **Changing bids in bulk** <a href="#changing-bids-in-bulk" id="changing-bids-in-bulk"></a>

You can access the same tool under **Manage** > **Keywords** in the **Change bid** menu. Select the keywords you want to update and choose one of three options:

* Set bid to First page bid
* Set bid to Top of page bid
* Set bid to First position bid

Alternatively, choose **Change bid** to increase or decrease bids in bulk by a fixed amount or percentage (irrespective of the first page, top of the page, or top position thresholds).
