Automate your PPC reporting and free up time for strategy
Save time — trade spreadsheets for strategy sessions
Adalysis reporting tools are designed to save you time and communicate your insights effectively. There are two types: Looker Studio and audit reports. Once set up, both are updated automatically, saving you time on every reporting cycle.
You can find both report types under Reporting on your accounts overview menus:
Google Looker Studio is a free reporting solution that integrates with Adalysis. We provide prebuilt reporting templates, which means you can quickly set up, customize and automate your monthly reporting.
Choose Client report or Team reports from the Reporting menu to choose a prebuilt template you can brand and add to your Looker Studio account.
Once downloaded, the reports are managed within Looker Studio. You'll also need to set up a Looker Studio account. The reports are then updated automatically, saving time and repetitive work.
Audit reports summarize Adalysis audit data in a shareable format. They provide a high-level snapshot, and many Adalysis agency customers find them useful for new-business pitches.
Here are the key report sections:
Overview: audit score, key findings, account size, and performance over the last 30 days
Performance audit: lost revenue, wasted spend, potential performance boosts
Quality score audit: account quality score, keyword quality score distribution
Account structure best practices audit
Account insights, incl. ad positions, cost vs conversions, ad testing, segment performance
Find your audit reports in the Reporting menu. You can add your own logo.
The reports are also available under Audit > Alerts for each account. Download and share your audit reports as PDFs to support your sales pitches or meetings.
Set up your reporting environment in Looker Studio
To start using the Adalysis report templates, you'll first need a free Looker Studio account. Looker Studio is a powerful and flexible reporting tool that makes it easy to visualize your PPC data.
Follow these three steps to get started — your reports can be ready in just 15-20 mins.
Create your free Looker Studio account, if you haven't already got one.
Looker Studio retrieves your data directly from Google Ads (not Adalysis). It uses a data source to connect to your Google Ads account or MCC.
To use the Adalysis templates, you'll need to first create your data sources (one for each Google Ads account or MCC). This is a one-off step, and you can then use the same data source in every Looker Studio report for that specific Google Ads account.
Here are the step-by-step instructions on how to create your data sources:
To link the Adalysis templates to your own Google Ads data, you'll first need to create a copy of the report. First, choose the template you want from the Reporting menu in Adalysis. Then, switch to Looker Studio and make a copy of it.
Change the data source of your new report to the one you created in step 2.
The new report will open in the Edit mode with the default name Copy of .... We'd suggest a simple naming convention to make your reports easier to track.
How to customize a Looker Studio report
Once you've copied a Looker Studio template and linked it to your data source, you're ready to customize the report content if needed.
You have full control to edit, delete, or add content to any page in the report.
You'll find 2 types of reports in Adalysis:
Client reports: these are suitable for agencies who want to send their customers regular reports. The reports are brief and show a summary of the account's performance. You can customize these reports by adding your own text summary (see below). Tip: If you're using the Pro version of Looker Studio you can also use its built-in conversational analytics to create an AI generated summary descriptions of the account's performance.
Team reports: these are suitable for internal reporting and go into a lot of details. You can customize these reports in multiple ways, including hiding unwanted pages (see below).
The client reports have a section at the bottom of each page dedicated to entering a text summary (if needed).
Go to the Edit mode and click on the empty space at the bottom of a page to see the text box.
Once you've entered your desired text summary, exit the Edit mode and send the report to your client.
Each Adalysis template page focuses on one aspect of reporting to make it as modular as possible. You can hide unwanted pages to keep only the ones that are relevant to your desired report.
Go to the Edit mode and click on the Page control to open the relevant panel.
Then click on the three dots of the pages you want to hide and choose Hide in view mode.
This will ensure this page isn't included in the final report (both the online version and the PDF export).
To make further edits, please refer to the Looker Studio help pages. Once you're familiar with the basic tools, Looker Studio reports are easy to customize.

How to create a Looker Studio Google Ads data source
Getting started
Go to the Data Source screen and click Create.
Permissions
Choose Google Ads and grant Looker Studio access to your Google Ads account when prompted.
Setup
Choose an account from the list and click Connect. The next section will help you decide whether to connect an individual or a manager account.
There are two types of data source for Google Ads: one for individual accounts and one for MCCs. Adalysis supports both types and we would recommend the following setup.
This data source is for reports with data from a single Google Ads account.
In this example, we should set up one data source for the Alpha Account account, one for the Beta Account, and so on.
Once created, you can rename the data source to make it easier to identify in the future:
Looker Studio can provide MCC-level reports covering multiple accounts. If these accounts have different currencies, Lookr Studio will convert the cost data to the MCC currency (learn more).
You have two choices:
Select a currency to set up a single-currency MCC data source (if the selected accounts use the same currency).
Don't select a currency and create a multi-currency MCC data source (if the selected accounts use a range of currencies). Learn more about how Looker Studio will handle multiple currencies.

From the Share menu, you can choose shareable links, scheduled email delivery, and PDF downloads.
You'll need to create one copy of the report for each Google Ads client you have.
We'd suggest a simple naming convention to make your reports easier to track, such as: MyClientName or AccountName – ReportType
Since the data is refreshed automatically, you need only to create the report once. Your client will always have access to real-time data. This can replace sending a monthly report.
Looker Studio reports update automatically every day. You can choose a time frame for your performance data with the date range filter. However, you can also schedule a regular email delivery via the Share menu.
Looker Studio natively supports many data sources, including Google Ads, Google Analytics, Google Sheets, YouTube, Google Search Console, file uploads, and MySQL.
Looker Studio also supports many third-party connectors for sources like Microsoft Ads, Facebook, and X. Click the Add data icon to search for the data source you need.
