Convert ETAs to RSAs (ad group level)

Create responsive search ads in bulk based on your legacy ads

Responsive search ads (RSAs) became the default ad type in Google Ads in June 2022. Adalysis offers easy and intuitive tools that allow you to create RSAs in bulk using the assets from your legacy expanded text ads (ETAs). As you can no longer edit ETAs, this is the only way to update those ads.

This tool allows you to create RSAs with the assets from several ETAs in the same ad group.

In the Manage > Ad groups screen, select the ad groups you want to work with. Then, go to Tools > Create ads > Create RSA ads from ETA ads.

1

Which ad groups to use

Decide whether to skip ad groups with at least one existing RSA and paused ad groups.

2

Which ETAs to use

Inherit (copy) assets from ETAs based on your preferred criteria.

3

Format of the RSA(s) created

Choose to pin all assets or skip pinning. You can also use both options at the same time. (Two ads will be created.) Add labels to make your new RSAs easy to filter.

4

RSA headlines

Choose how many headlines you want to inherit, and add new text. Google allows a maximum of 15 headlines, with up to 30 characters each.

5

RSA descriptions

Choose how many descriptions you want to inherit, and add new text. Google allows a maximum of four descriptions, with up to 90 characters each.
