Automation

Activate your budget copilot

Adalysis offers one of the most comprehensive PPC budget management toolsets available today. This guide takes you through the automation tools under Budgets > Manage.

Budget allocation

In Google Ads, you can only allocate budgets at the campaign level or for shared budgets. Adalysis gives you more options.

Split your daily or monthly budget across your whole account, specific campaigns, or a budget group. Our algorithms will recommend a budget split that meets your target spend and performance goal.

Allocate a monthly spend goal to the whole account

When setting a monthly spend goal, you can also define your target spend and performance goal.

Adalysis assesses each campaign's performance and potential (using the Lost Impression Share budget metric) to determine the best budget split.

Allocate a monthly spend goal to a budget group

A monthly goal can also be allocated to a subset of campaigns (i.e. a budget group).

Adalysis budget groups vs Google's shared budgets

Budget groups in Adalysis and shared budgets in Google Ads aim to help you manage multiple campaigns under a unified budget. However, there are key differences that make budget groups more useful for PPC managers:

Managing performance goals

Shared budgets in Google Ads don’t allow you to define performance goals. This means you can’t prioritize campaigns that are performing well. Google will distribute the budget based on your bid strategy and the campaign’s ability to spend the budget. It's possible for a single campaign to spend all of your budget, even if you have multiple campaigns within a single shared budget.

True pacing control

Budget groups in Adalysis offer pacing controls, allowing you to manage how quickly your budget is spent across the month. This gives you more flexibility in aligning spend with business priorities or seasonal trends. In addition, Adalysis will allocate budgets to each campaign based on its performance.

Projected spend visibility

Budget groups provide spend projections for the month. This forecast helps you to avoid overspend and stay in control of your overall budget.

Automated adjustment

When you define a monthly spend goal, Adalysis suggests a daily budget split for those campaigns. The daily budget settings are then updated accordingly.

However, this doesn't guarantee the monthly goal will be met because campaigns behave differently every day. This is where automated budget management comes in. This tool reviews the spend every day and recalculates the ideal daily budget values. This saves you from having to manually monitor or make changes yourself.

Enable this feature at the account or budget group level.

Future spend

With Adalysis, you can define your spend goals for up to 12 months in advance, both for accounts and budget groups.

Adalysis will set the specified spend goal on the first day of the month. When a spend goal is applied, the daily budget settings of the relevant campaigns will be adjusted accordingly. Here is the frequency of this adjustment:

  • If your account (or budget group) budget is automatically managed by Adalysis, the daily budgets will be adjusted every day to ensure the spend goal is met.

  • If your account (or budget group) isn't automatically managed, the daily budgets will be adjusted only on the first day of the month.

Rollover

Rollover lets you specify how the underspent or overspent budget should be allocated in the following month. This setting is available at the account level and for budget groups.
