Budget groups

Manage groups of budgets with this innovative Adalysis feature

A budget group is a set of campaigns or shared budgets. Create a budget group in Adalysis to manage and track their collective spend, pacing and performance. Examples include brand, remarketing, or awareness campaigns.

Budget groups aren't the same as Google's shared budgets. The campaigns in a budget group continue to run individually. Defining a budget group in Adalysis has no impact on how the campaigns run in Google Ads. They're simply a logical grouping in Adalysis to make it easier for you to manage sets of campaigns, like brand or search.

The key difference that makes budget groups more useful for PPC managers is that Google's shared budgets don’t allow you to prioritize performance metrics. This means you can’t prioritize campaigns that are performing well unless you use Adalysis budget groups.

Budget group types

When creating a new budget group, you will need to choose one of the two types:

  • Pacing: These budget groups allow you to see the pacing and receive notifications based on spend criteria. You can also choose to pause all the campaigns when the target is reached and re-enable them at the beginning of the next month.

  • Allocation: These budget groups work the same as above but also show the recommended daily budgets needed to hit the target. To ensure the target is never exceeded by month-end, there is also an optional 'Auto manage' tool that will monitor and adjust the campaign budget settings daily to spend as close as possible, but never exceed, the target budget.
