Bid suggestions for product groups

Alert name: Product group bid suggestions

For Shopping campaigns with manual CPC bidding, Adalysis will alert you to opportunities to optimize performance by changing your bids.

You'll see the alert under Bid suggestions on your Audit > Alerts screen. Click on it for detailed product group data and recommendations to increase or decrease bids.

Then, select all or some product groups and click Apply bid suggestions.

Under Bid suggestions settings, you can also experiment with approaches and settings by clicking Recalculate suggested bid adjustments after each update. Once you're happy with the results, apply bid suggestions.

Default settings

To compute the best bids, Adalysis considers multiple signals for your product groups:

  • search impression share

  • search volume

  • benchmark CPC

The default goal is to increase overall profits for your account. Go to Audit > Settings > Bid Suggestions to change the goal and other criteria.

Customize your bid suggestion settings

Here's how you can customize the calculations:

  1. Select your goal: increase conversions, conversion value, profit, or ROAS.

  2. Set max bid limits, either as a percentage of the current bid or an absolute value.

  3. Select the date range that should be analyzed for computing new bids.

  4. Set minimum thresholds to ensure you only receive bid suggestions when there's enough data. Choose from impressions, clicks, or conversions.

  5. To avoid frequent bid changes on the same product groups, set a minimum time between bid suggestions.

  6. Define how aggressive you want your bid suggestions to be.

  7. Choose whether to set automatic bid changes for the future.

  8. View other account settings, where available, for comparison.
